"I first became interested in hypnosis after reading about the so-called placebo effect. This is where patients undergoing a clinical drugs trial are given an inert substance instead of the drug being trialled but get better anyway.
This implies that because these patients believe that they are being treated with an effective drug their health starts to improve.
In researching this phenomenon I became increasingly aware of the profound impact of our belief systems and the ability of hypnotherapy and NLP to make rapid and lasting change."
Tim now runs his own successful hypnotherapy practice in Derbyshire; helping people from all walks of life with a wide variety of problems.
He also trains other hypnotherapists, running courses that have been approved and validated by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council.
He has made a point of training with some of the best practitioners in the field; taking an advanced hypnotherapy course with Paul McKenna and studying NLP with Dr. Richard Bandler, one of its originators.
